About

Prints
Sarah works with intaglio printmaking mainly using collagraph and drypoint printing. Her work is an observational combination of memories, Landscapes, and the everyday things and conversations that catch her attention.
She’s also a little obsessed with the weather and the way it makes you feel alive when you’re out in it on your way back to that cosy house that often features in her prints.
She loves exploring the possibilities that collagraph printmaking has to offer. The texture and atmosphere you can create with them, the effects and tonal depth.
The inking up process has to be repeated by hand for each print which is why each prints can vary a little making each print unique and original which she feels is all part of their charm.

Paintings
Sarah creates dreamy whimsical oil paintings from partly-imagined places and landscapes taken from her life experiences and within her home in the Peak District. Drawing you into the landscape evoking feelings of space and calm.
She currently has a fascination with starry skies and is attempting to capture the constellations of a 12 month period with her series of 12 stargazers paintings where each month and constellation is captured with a different stargazer/stargazers.
